BASIC USAGE

Steady Retrieve

When using the Saryu lure with a simple retrieve, the basic principle is to use a speed that doesn't drag on the bottom.

As a general guideline, aiming for a speed slightly slower than that of actual baitfish will create a more natural presentation. Especially when the fish are highly active or you want to trigger a reaction bite, it's effective to reel in a little faster while combining stop-and-go retrieves to create a pause that entices them to strike.

Lift & Fall

Saryu's lift-and-fall technique has two patterns that can be used depending on the situation.

●Patterns targeting the bottom
After the lure hits the water, let it freefall to the bottom, then explore the area near the bottom with a lift-and-fall technique. Varying the lifting distance creates variations in the action, making it easier to elicit reaction bites from flounder and flathead.

● Patterns targeting the middle layer
Immediately after the lure hits the water, take up the slack in the line, then let it sink with a curve fall while maintaining line tension, and repeat the lift-and-fall technique while keeping the lure in the mid-water column.
