The A-PEN68 is a downsized version of the A-PEN90, retaining its excellent feel. It condenses the long-casting performance unique to the A-PEN series, the one-knock "A-PEN sound" produced by the tungsten weight, and the water-interacting action into a small body. To achieve a perfect balance of casting distance, action, and sound, the body shape and internal structure have been specially redesigned. By eliminating unnecessary elements, it achieves performance that can be comfortably used with baitcasting tackle despite its small size. Furthermore, the package includes saltwater-compatible hooks, making it a versatile pencil bait that can be used in any field.
The A-PEN 90 is defined by its legendary casting distance and its high-pitched "One-Knock" sound. To downsize that lure while inheriting all of its strengths, this was a challenge far more difficult than we imagined.
If you simply make the body smaller, it becomes impossible to cast with a baitcasting reel.

The A-PEN produces a hard, high-pitched metallic "clicking" sound through its unique structure, which involves a tungsten ball colliding with a larger steel ball. This combination of materials produces the loudest single-knock sound.
This allows you to search a wide area of shallow water while also luring deep-sea predatory fish to the surface.

When casting with a sidearm motion, the center of gravity is towards the rear, resulting in a stable trajectory and allowing you to throw precisely to your target.
With its high specific gravity of 68mm/8g, this lure allows for precise casting even with a baitcasting reel.
